In summary The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requires all firms that use its systems to register and turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) by 31 May 2023.

What is MFA?

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring you to enter a one-time passcode in addition to your username and password when you log in. You can generate a one-time passcode from an authenticator app or by SMS text message. MFA is a simple and effective way to protect your account from unauthorized access.
